Ode To Seoul. Project Cherry Blossom Wedding.

Seoul. This has been my second time. I am lucky to know a guy who lives there, who is the coolest Korean I’ve ever met and a massive party animal. It was the week of his wedding, for which he invited around 20 close friends, from all over the world.

Imagine that you arrive to this always on, large, electric city where people dress well, party hard, look and think differently, you enter the room in a restaurant which it took some time to find, and you can see your friend – do you know that type of friendship when you may not see each other for years, not know much about each other’s life, yet the moment you meet, you know you are totally on the same page, just from looking at each other? He is a friend like that.

Now imagine, there are 20 people around the table and you can immediately tell that they are as crazy as your friend, or you, and this atmosphere of immediate understanding, of total acceptance, of crazy energy feels amazing. You then party with these amazing people for several days in this amazing city.

Experiences like this are very rare. They bring specific, unique blend of happiness. I made sure I sipped every drop of it. And I was completely present.

Below – some photos from that trip. My personal heaven – Dunkin Donuts Korean style and ramen row in a supermarket. And us leaving a commemorative mark in a teahouse in Insadong. I hope I get to relive this amazing energy again. I hope I run into the people I met again, at some point, somewhere.

Seoul, you rock.
